IBC Suites

The Suites are a six-unit housing community for adults with diverse abilities who are able to live independently with a few supports.

It occupies one half of the I Belong Centre, at 1465 Grieve Avenue in Courtenay. A Good Friend and Neighbour lives onsite, promoting intentional community with weekly shared meals, movie nights and impromptu social outings. The tenants of the IBC Suites have added new life to the L’Arche community and we are grateful for them.

Jubilee House

Jubilee is a small household in Courtenay where people with diverse abilities and others who work and live in our community to assist share life together in a family-like setting.

Each person contributes to the house life as they are able. Home life is the cornerstone of L’Arche. Evening meals, birthdays, and times of prayer are small but cherished celebrations that strengthen the bonds between the people sharing the home.

The Anchorage

L’Arche is currently fundraising for the construction of The Anchorage, an affordable housing project in the Comox Valley. The Anchorage will provide 15 independent suites for adults with diverse abilities, one for a Good Friend and Neighbour (Assistant), plus social spaces and amenities. Learn more about The Anchorage.
