“L’Arche celebrated its 25th anniversary on March 16. A week later more than 150 friends of L’Arche got together to recognize the milestone at the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay.

The event included fond memories of Lock Mawhinney, recognition of the many people who passionately worked alongside the Mawhinneys to make L’Arche a reality, and even a look forward to L’Arche Comox Valley’s future in the community.

“Our foundation is built with such a rich history,” says Lynda Brosko, Community Leader & Executive Director for L’Arche Comox Valley. “We’re so grateful to everyone who has given their time, energy and love to L’Arche. It makes us strong and enables us to give back. I’m really excited about our future.”
