It Was a Hoot!

Wasn't that a party! This year's Harvest Hootenanny brought together good food and good people for a high energy evening.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, wonderful volunteers, lively music and a whole lot of hungry people, L’Arche’s Harvest Hootenanny was a great success!

This year’s event took place at the Filberg Centre in Courtenay. The food was delicious and Fiddlejam brought the hall to life with their high-energy, traditional fiddle music. A fun part of the evening is always the event’s dessert auction and things were a little different this year. Dessert auction lead Debby Howard whisked up more excitement than a mixer on high speed, delivering a silent auction and a live auction with more than 30 desserts on offer.

“Our auction is a big draw and it’s thrilling to be a part of it,” says Debby. “Thank you so much to all of the incredible commercial and home bakers that gave their time and talent for such a great cause.”

Thanks to the businesses in our community that support us and the many good causes throughout our community.
