L’Arche is widely recognized for its success in creating community with those with diverse abilities in the Comox Valley and around the world. In keeping with Coastal Community Credit Union’s (CCCU) community focus, they have donated $5,000 to The Anchorage, L’Arche Comox Valley’s new campaign to construct much needed housing in the Valley.
“L’Arche is very grateful for Coastal’s support,” says Hollee Card, Community Leader & Executive Director for L’Arche Comox Valley. “There is such an immense need for housing in the Valley and people with developmental disabilities experience an added vulnerability, requiring support with daily life and intentional community. L’Arche works to meet those needs, enabling confident and connected lives.”
“We appreciate supporting like-minded organizations such as L’Arche,” says Kristin Hocking, Community Experience Specialist, CCCU. “Each year through our ‘Building Healthier Communities Fund’ CCCU and its employees provide more than half a million dollars through donations, sponsorships, and scholarships to deserving non-profit organizations.”
