An Interview About “The Anchorage”

CBC caught up with L'Arche Comox Valley's Hollee Card for a chat.
It started when journalist Kathryn Marlow contacted Hollee Card to find out how the winter transit strike was impacting L’Arche’s island community. One interview led to another and Hollee took the opportunity to mention The Anchorage to the reporter, which led to an online interview about the capital project.

In March, Hollee was a guest on CBC’s popular radio podcast, On The Island with Gregor Craigie. The show is an informative blend of news, reviews and interviews designed to keep Vancouver Islanders informed. During the interview Kathryn and Hollee talk about the need for safe, affordable housing for people with intellectual disabilities as well as the importance of community.
“It’s critical that we get the word out about The Anchorage to help build awareness, understanding and support,” says Hollee, Community Leader & Executive Director for L’Arche Comox Valley. The Anchorage’s Campaign Team is currently meeting with service groups in the Valley to talk about L’Arche Comox Valley, The Anchorage and the support needed to bring more affordable housing to the Valley.”

“We’re always looking for opportunities to share,” Hollee adds. “We’re happy to talk with all service organizations, companies and individuals interested in learning about L’Arche and The Anchorage.”
