The L’ArcheWorx Collective is a social-purpose craft collective for adults with developmental disabilities run out of the I Belong Centre. The Collective provides adults with disabilities the opportunity to engage their creativity and enhance their skills as they craft products which are marketed for sale. Profits from the sale of the products are divided between the participants in the Collective based on the number of hours they have worked.
The L’ArcheWorx Collective makes and sells three main product lines:
- Candles – including our famous recycled wax candles, beeswax candles, and seasonal Advent candle sets!
- Soup cones – five amazing soup flavours in large and small sizes. Delicious and healthy options for lunch or dinner.
- Art cards, calendars & prints – made from art produced in the IBC studio. These beautiful stationery products celebrate the gifts of adults in our creative arts classes.
We sell at local craft fairs like Nautical Days (Comox, BC Day long weekend), Filberg Lodge Christmas Craft market (Comox, December), Courtenay Downtown summer markets, and November Fiesta Craft sales across the Island.
We also sell at local stores – Island Affair Gifts (Comox), Tin Town Coffee (Courtenay), and Uplifters (Courtenay); and online through The Comox Box and Etsy. You can also buy our products directly at the I Belong Centre.
