Become a Volunteer
You can become a friend of the Community and participate in our different events throughout the year, such as our weekly community prayer and potluck on Tuesday evenings. Please consult our monthly calendar or give us a call. You can volunteer with us on a regular basis at the Outreach Centre with one of our activities such as painting, scrapbooking, candle making, drama, cooking, bird house building, or just spending time with those who drop by. There are special projects that occur annually such as Art of Belonging and Sharing Side by Side that require many volunteers. Work and Live
You can come and be a live-in assistant. More than a caregiver, the assistant shares his or her life with people who are less autonomous. Days are filled with the ordinary tasks of daily living – meals, bathing, household chores, shopping, accompanying people to the doctor or the dentist – and regular community meetings and events. You will have to learn new skills. Being an assistant is an experience where you will discover the extraordinary gifts of ordinary people. Each year, we welcome assistants to join our community, usually for a one-year commitment.
