L’Arche Comox Valley makes a long-term commitment to those who make their homes in our community. Planning to provide for the current and complex changing needs of our community members is essential.
L’Arche Comox Valley relies on the support of others who are like-hearted in living our mission. We need funds to ensure the functionality of our residences and offices – from necessary maintenance and repairs to vehicle upkeep. We also need funds to facilitate training, retreats for assistants, communications, leadership, community development, and so much more.
Our first Outreach Centre opened in 2007 as a place where people with developmental disabilities and others from the wider community could share in learning, socializing, and creative arts such as beading, painting and candle making. Since then, we have moved four times in order to respond to the increasing needs in the Comox Valley, finally achieving our goal of a new, multi-purpose I Belong Centre to house our offices, activity centre, and residences for some of our core members. We rely on support from the community to maintain and run the I Belong Centre and its activities.
All gifts, large and small, make a difference in the community and we are deeply grateful for all. There are many ways you can support L’Arche Comox Valley:
Make a one time gift, join our Monthly Giving Program, talk to us about planned giving, or give a gift in memory or in celebration.
L’Arche Comox Valley is a registered charity. For donations of $20 and over, we issue charitable donation tax receipts in January each year.
